The healing power of bookbinding

Not many visitors to Whitehall Garden Centre at Woodborough near Pewsey realise that the beautiful thatched barn they pass at the entrance is home to a branch of London-based Shepherds Bookbinders Ltd – one of only a handful of craft binderies left in the city. Even if you peep through the windows and see shelves displaying colourful hand marbled paper, notebooks and stationery, you would not know that there was a workshop at the back where small groups of military veterans learn the craft of bookbinding as part of their rehabilitation >>

Dee’s article about the charity Bound by Veterans appears in the December issue of Wiltshire Life.
