New paperback out

This is the new paperback edition of The Little Book of Wiltshire. I’m pleased to see the cover has had a facelift. At least the Westbury White Horse is WHITE now. I like the Eric Ravilious feel to the design and also reminding me of one of those 1950s railway posters.

I have managed to add a couple of new entries and add a few dates-  mainly dates of people I wrote about who have died since the book was first pubished in 2013. I have added VS Naipaul, Nobel Laureate whom I omitted.  A gentleman wrote to me to tell me that William Golding wasn’t the only Laureate from Wiltshire. He lived in the same village as Naipaul. Mea culpa. I also added Vikram Seth who wrote A Suitable Boy – recently dramtaised for TV.
